WHY Ricoh Business Solutions, Pac West?

INDUSTRY EVOLUTION

As the Document Management Industry evolves, companies are seeing the advantage to "Partnering" with companies that are considered Total Solutions Service Providers. It’s increasingly difficult for marketing companies and/or independent dealers to fulfill that role. The necessary support and tremendous investment requirements for a Total Document Management Solution are prohibitive for all but a few major manufacturers that incorporate the technology, knowledge, direct distribution, financial capability and experience to provide the customer the solutions that they require.

A "Partnership" is considered a long-term contractual relationship between customer and vendor and the vendor must have the capability of providing necessary solutions that fit the needs and requirements of the customer on an ongoing basis. In order to achieve this, the vendor has to have the product hardware and software solutions, the people providing the necessary customer support, the technical expertise to implement and support the solution on an on-going basis and the financial capability to have continued investment in technology solutions, training and support. Requirements on the vendor in this fast moving world are immediate. Immediate local support providing these solutions are necessary and the ability to quickly respond to the "exception" has become a necessary requirement.

Ricoh Business Systems is part of a 18 billion dollar Office Solutions Manufacturer. In Japan, financial analysts have selected Ricoh as the number one company for stock investment. The stock value has tripled over the last year. The reasons for the stock performance are based on company performance and Ricoh’s reputation and recognition by all industry sources is impressive:

  • Ricoh has manufactured, introduced, marketed and supported more intelligent Digital Product engines than any other manufacturer (12 engines as of March 2000).

Ricoh also has a dominate market-share in Segment 2 (21 to 30 pages per minute) at 22%, Segment 3 (31 to 40 pages per minute) at 35%, Segment 4 (41 to 69 pages per minute) at 25% and Color (laser segment 4 to 24 pages per minute) at 30%.
